We reference a few of our older shows from the past ten years in this one:
Laine brings up the excellent movie Arrival as part of the discussion, so go check that out if you can!
We also launch our monthly podcast book club, which will focus on Scott Cunningham’s Earth Power and Earth, Air, Fire, & Water for 2020. Keep an eye out for our upcoming website post with the full reading plan. You can get 20% off those two books if you order from www.llewellyn.com and use the code SCOTT20 at checkout! Hey there, it’s the same Jess who’s all over your Mythtaken site 🙂 I just wanted to drop in here because I’ve been listening to your podcast since about when it started (I remember going on walks the summer of 2010, during a summer internship when I was staying in a different state and listening to your episodes). I have only ever been someone who occasionally practiced, and never really found anything that quite ‘clicked’ for more consistency. I’m still looking, and I still love listening to your podcast. I remember as a pre-teen (after The Craft came out) going to the bookstore in the mall and trying to convince myself to buy ‘Teen Witch’ by Silver Ravenwolf with my friends, but I was always afraid my parents would find it. 🙂 I did eventually take a class on alternative religious movements in college and read ‘Drawing Down the Moon’ and eventually bought myself some Scott Cunningham (the latter of which I sadly don’t think I have anymore, but I look forward to more of your book club discussion!) Anyway, thank you for continuing this wonderful podcast; I still often listen to it on long walks.
