SHOWNOTES FOR PODCAST SPECIAL – HAIRY MEN & BLOODY BONES
Summary
In our first Halloween storytelling episode, we look at two folktales: “WIley & the Hairy Man,” (as retold by Diane de las Casas) and “Raw Head & Bloody Bones” (as retold by S.E. Schlosser)
A very short special in which Cory reads the fairy tale “The Horned Women,” then discusses a bit of the witchcraft in it. Happy Walpurgisnacht/May Eve/Beltane everyone!
Summary
This is the first of (hopefully) many mini-episode specials in which we’ll explore particular practical topics in American Witchcraft. Today, we’re looking at the history, lore, and making of Witch Bottles. Plus we’ll share our own experiences with them.
